Convention Policies

Convention Policies

1. Code of Conduct
TusCon is dedicated to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and respectful environment for everyone. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, inappropriate comments, unwanted physical contact, or demeaning language or imagery related to gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, age, appearance, or any other personal attribute.

2. Cosplay and Costuming
Costumes are encouraged! However, cosplay is not consent. Always ask before taking photos or touching another person or their costume. Please respect personal boundaries. If someone says no, stop immediately. Costumes must also comply with local laws and public decency standards.

3. Weapons Policy
All weapons, prop or otherwise, must be peace-bonded at Registration upon arrival. Functional or realistic firearms and projectile weapons are not permitted. Prop weapons and live steel must be clearly identified as such and kept secured and peace-bonded when not in use for photos or contests. Any violation may result in removal from the event without refund.

4. Badges and Memberships
Convention badges must be worn visibly at all times within convention spaces. Badges are non-transferable and may be revoked for violation of convention policies.

5. Photography and Recording
Always ask for permission before photographing or recording others. Photography and recording is prohibited in the Art Show. Please respect posted signage and staff instructions.

6. Accessibility and Inclusion
We strive to make TusCon accessible to all attendees. If you need assistance or accommodation, please contact our volunteer coordinator tcvolunteermanager@gmail.com or go to Registration on site. We are committed to making sure everyone can enjoy the convention experience fully.

7. Minors
Attendees under 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

8. Vendor and Artist Areas
Vendors and artists are responsible for their own merchandise, taxes, and business licenses. The convention is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal or commercial property.

9. Conduct Toward Staff and Volunteers
Our staff and volunteers are here to help. Abusive language or behavior toward them will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event.

10. Policy Enforcement
Convention staff reserve the right to address any situation that detracts from the safe and inclusive environment we strive to maintain. Non-compliance may result in removal without refund at the discretion of convention leadership.
