Known as a “professional eclectic,” Liz Danforth has built a career doing many things and doing them well.
Most people know Liz best as an artist and writer. For decades, she has worked in the tabletop games industry, illustrating role-playing game books, creating artwork for collectible card games, and shaping the visual design of numerous products. She is widely known for her writing and design work on various Tunnels & Trolls RPG projects, as a card artist for Magic: The Gathering, and most recently for her illustrations in the Sorcery: Contested Realm, Arthurian Legends card series released in 2024. Her experience also includes scenario and game design for video games such as the Star Trek and Wasteland series.
Beyond her art, Liz is also a librarian and an advocate for games and gaming in library spaces, where her wide-ranging knowledge and curiosity come together perfectly. Whether helping patrons find the right book, navigating digital resources, or answering complex reference questions, her passion for connecting people with information shines through.
