Monica Friedman is a writer and illustrator living in Tucson, Arizona; author of The Hermit, a contemporary desert fantasy novel with elements of horror and romance; and Bonnie Jo Campbell Comics volumes 1-5, a series of graphic literature criticism. A long-time literacy advocate, Monica also volunteers at TUSD and is the editor of The Pencil Eaters, a literary journal written by students of Lineweaver Elementary.
