Monica Friedman will show you her Dewey Decimal tattoo if you ask and maybe even if you don’t. An author, illustrator, editor, and educator based out of Tucson, Arizona, she has an MFA in creative writing and absolutely no visual art training, which has not stopped her from drawing and publishing four volumes of graphic literary criticism under the title Bonnie Jo Campbell Comics. Her contemporary desert fantasy novel, The Hermit, is available from Brother Wolf Press.
