Liz Danforth

 

Liz Danforth is best known for her art and illustrations, primarily created for the games industry. Since 1978, Liz has worked steadily as an artist, writer, editor, and game developer on role-playing games, card games, and board games. She is most known for her works in early Magic the Gathering, Iron Crown’s Middle Earth, and more recently in the Sorcery: Contested Realm tcg. Her art, writing, and editing credits include work for ttrpgs like Tunnels & Trolls, Dungeons and Dragons, Traveller, and Steve Jackson’s Fantasy Trip.

She has written scenario designs for computer games including Wasteland and in the Star Trek franchise under Interplay. Her maps and illustrations appear in mainstream and fantasy novels and anthologies. She was inducted into the Academy of Gaming Arts and Design’s Hall of Fame (1995). Liz is creating Mages and Sages on Patreon (www.patreon.com/LizDanforth) where she is most active. She continues to freelance in art, writing, and game design from her home in Tucson, Arizona.
