Dania Wright is a scientist and engineer out of Phoenix, Arizona. Her background covers a broad range of disciplines, including Bachelor’s degrees in biology, anthropology, and engineering. She is currently a graduate student at Arizona State University studying science literacy and media. After reading one too many bad science fiction books, she now puts these varied interests to use helping authors and creatives use science accurately.
As Science Producer on seasons 2 & 3 of Bill Nye Saves the World, she was responsible for bringing the science into reality, and coordinated and tested every experiment on the show. With several years of experience as a Content Specialist at the Arizona Science Center, where she set stuff on fire and occasionally exploded things in public, she remains active in the field of informal science education. She also a researcher on the RAIN Project at Arizona State University, helping improve access to informal science resources in rural communities throughout the state of Arizona. When not playing with fire, she is an accomplished fencer and swordswoman.
