Patrick Nielsen Hayden is Editor-at-Large at the Tor Publishing Group, where he’s worked for over thirty-five years. He is responsible for launching or helping to launch the careers of several notable SF and fantasy novelists, including Maureen F. McHugh, Susan Palwick, Cory Doctorow, Jo Walton, John Scalzi, Ada Palmer, and Charlie Jane Anders. For his original anthology Starlight 1 (Tor, 1996), he won a World Fantasy Award; he’s also won three Hugo Awards for his editorial work. With his wife, Teresa Nielsen Hayden, he’s among the regular instructors at the Viable Paradise writers’ workshop.
